February 11, People's Daily Online - Jiangxi provincial government's disabled persons program, the "Livelihood Project" has been completed, in 2009.

In the province, 110,324 disabled persons received rehabilitation services, 14,872 disabled persons participated in the job training and 3,816 disabled persons obtained employment through nonprofit posts, directly benefiting 130,000 disabled persons.

Besides the "Livelihood Project" disabled persons program, disabled persons unions at all levels in Jiangxi province constantly enhance their service capability. They have supported 27 provincial disabled persons' planting and breeding industry poverty alleviation demonstration bases, 220 municipal demonstration bases and 80 county poverty alleviation bases. In the whole province, 10,000 disabled persons found employment and the government collected 100 million yuan disabled person employment guarantee fund.

In 2009, Jiangxi province continued to implement projects, like the project of lottery public welfare fund to subsidize over 2,000 disabled students. The provincial disabled persons union received 407 disabled persons, dealt with 92 letters, offered rights protection service for 148 disabled persons and over 90 percent of the disabled person law rights protection problems were solved.

In addition, in 2009, Jiangxi province provided effective rehabilitation services for 28,676 disabled persons.
