The site of Duchang Jishan Wind Farm

January 6, shidi .org –Duchang Jishan Lake Wind Farm, the first key green energy project in Jiangxi Province, began to produce electricity, and officially transport electric power to the Jiangxi power network January 4, 2009, after 20 wind turbines were assembled, debugged and incorporated.

The wind farm, located in Duchang County, Jiujiang City, was invested and constructed by China Power Investment Corporation with investment of 347 million Yuan. It is installed 20 wind turbines with 1500 kilowatt each. The farm can generate 55 million kwh annually by total installed capacity of 30,000 kilowatts. It saves standard coal 19,000 tons, reduces discharging carbon dioxide 59,000 tons and sulphur dioxide 215.8 tons each year, which will promote environmental protection and the development around Poyang Lake.
