August 29, jx.xinhuanet ¨C The Symposium on Jiangxi-Taiwan Economic & Trade Cooperation, organized by Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and Jiangxi Provincial Government, took place in Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi Province August 29, 2007.
Yok Mu-ming, Chairman of Taiwan New Party, was present the symposium and made a speech.
Zhong Rongji, honorary Vice-Chairman of Taiwan People First Party was present at the opening ceremony of the symposium and made a speech.
Zheng Lizhong, Vice-Minister of Taiwan Affairs of the State Council, Yok Mu-ming, Chairman of Taiwan New Party and Zhong Rongji, honorary Vice-Chairman of Taiwan People First Party were present at the opening ceremony of the symposium, as well as 1000-odd entrepreneurs from Taiwan.
With the theme of ¡°compatriot affection, our own flesh and blood, forming a friendship, promoting development¡±, the symposium aims to accelerate interchange and cooperation between Jiangxi and Taiwan in the domains of agriculture, state owned enterprises, non-banking financial organizations, municipal infrastructure construction and tourism.
Agriculture cooperation is the major program in the symposium. Hundreds of Taiwan businessmen gather together in Nanchang to look for opportunities.
The Symposium on Jiangxi-Taiwan Economic & Trade Cooperation of this year is the fifth. The first was launched in 2003.
