Tak Sing out to Build on Success
 


May 28, The Standard, Hong Kong - Tak Sing Alliance Holdings (0126), which built the raw materials exchange centre, China South International Industrial Materials City, in Shenzhen with a group of investors, is to take part in a similar mixed-use project in Jiangxi province, offering 3.8 million square metres of space.

Its associate, China South City Group, in which Tak Sing has a 20 percent stake, will develop a large- scale commercial, residential and logistics centre in Jiangxi's capital Nanchang.

Tak Sing operates garments, property, restaurant, food, and hotel businesses.

Under an agreement with the local government, China South City will provide an integrated trading centre, warehousing and com- mercial facilities, and residences. Each will offer a gross floor area of 1.1 million, 0.8 million and 1.9 million sq m respectively.

Similar to its Shenzhen operation, China South City will build, sell and provide logistics services at the center, which will be the largest in Jiangxi.

Details of the total investment cost were not made available, but Tak Sing said China South City was granted the land "at a very attractive price."
