Jiangxi to Invite RMB 18.27 bln Investment from HK


Apr. 11, 2007 (China Knowledge) ¨C Jiangxi province intends to attract RMB 18.27 billion of investment from Hong Kong by introducing 56 tourism programs next month, out of which 13 are regarded as key projects that will account for nearly 60% of the total investment value for this year, the Jiangxi Provincial Tourism Bureau said.
 
According to the tourism bureau, it has shortlisted 31 projects that each will attract more than RMB 100 million, seven of which are valued at RMB 500 million each and four worth over RMB 1 billion each. Moreover, among the 13 key projects, West Sea near Lushan Mountain, Wugong Mountain scenic spot and the vacation resort in Moon Bay of Wuyuan area are expected to bring in up to RMB 10.56 billion. 

Most of the programs are focused on developing scenic spots and promoting ancient architecture.

The Jiangxi tourism bureau also announced that it will hold a trade fair next month in Hong Kong to attract both domestic and foreign investors.
