February 10, Jiangxi Daily – From this year on, Jiangxi enters the period of the 11th Five – Year Plan (2005-2010). The main task of Jiangxi people in the following 5 years are as follows, according to the report on the work of the government delivered by governor Huang Zhiquan at the Fourth Session of the 10th Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress on February 8, 2006.

The GDP in the province is to rise 11% annually to 800 billion yuan in 2010 with per capita US$ 2,000, a double in 2005. Fiscal revenue will reach or surpass 80 billion yuan.

The industry structure will be adjusted from primary 18.9 : secondary  47.4 : tertiary 33.7 in 2005 to 13 : 52 : 35 in 2010. Value added of industries account for 40% of the GDP. 

Expressway mileage will increase 1,500 km to 3,000 km in 2010. Installed capacity of power will increase 500 million kw to 1,200 million kw.

Urbanization rate is to reach 45% or more. The percentage of forest covered woodland reaches 63%. The per capita disposable income of the urban residents reaches 13,000 yuan and the per capita net income of the rural residents 4,600 yuan.
