February 9, Jiangxi Daily 每 Jiangxi Province has surpassed the 10th Five -Year Plan in 2005, with per capita GDP exceeding US$1,000, which suggests that the province is at a new starting point of development, according to the report on the work of the government delivered by governor Huang Zhiquan at the Fourth Session of the 10th Jiangxi Provincial People*s Congress on February 8, 2006.
GDP in the province rose 11.6 % annually from 200.3 billion yuan in 2000 to 404 billion yuan in 2005, adding 107 billion yuan to the 10th Five 每 Year Plan's 3,000 billion yuan. The per capita GDP has reached US$ 1,140 according to current exchange rate. Fiscal revenue rose 19.9 % annually from 17.17 billion yuan in 2000 to 42.57 billion yuan in 2005, adding 15.07 billion yuan to the 10th Five 每 Year Plan's 27.5 billion yuan. Among 99 counties (cities or districts) in the province, 84 have 100 million yuan more of their fiscal revenue, compared with 21 in 2000.
The industry structure has been adjusted from primary 24.2 : secondary 35.0 : tertiary 40.8 in 2000 to 18.9 : 47.4 : 33.7 in 2005 with secondary industry rising 12.4 percentage points through last 5 years. Private economy accounts for 36.1% of the GDP.
The investment in fixed assets rose 33.5% annually from 54.8 billion yuan in 2000 to 229.3 billion yuan in 2005, adding 137.3 billion yuan to the 10th Five 每 Year Plan's 92 billion yuan. Among which, direct utilization of foreign capital rose 60.5% annually from US$ 230 million in 2000 through 2005 to US$ 2.42 billion in 2005. The total retail sales of consumer goods rose 11.9% annually from 70.5 billion yuan in 2000 to 123.6 billion yuan in 2005, adding 15.6 billion yuan to the 10th Five 每 Year Plan's 108 billion yuan.
The per capita disposable income of urban households rose 11% annually from 5,104 yuan in 2000 to 8,620 yuan in 2005, adding 1,460 yuan to the 10th Five 每 Year Plan's 7,160 yuan. The per capita net income of rural households rose 8.9% annually from 2,135 yuan in 2000 to 3,266 yuan in 2005, adding 336 yuan to the Five 每 Year Plan's 2,930 yuan. The space of dwelling per capita of urban and rural households increased 14 and 4.2 square meters to 28 and 32 square meters respectively.
