April 30, CRIENGLISH.com - China is hosting a UN forum on sustainable development next month in the city of Nanchang, the capital of east China's Jiangxi Province.
About 150 delegates are expected to attend the Symposium on Integrated Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals from May 10 to 12.
Vice Provincial Governor Sun Gang said Friday that the symposium will explore economic and social sustainable development, environmental protection and the harmonious co-existence of humans and nature.
This follows the World Summit on Sustainable Development held in Johannesburg in August 2002, which established key sustainable development goals.
Jiangxi province will be used as an example in discussions on water conservation, rural energy supply and urban development in under-developed regions.
