 ChangheAircraft Industrial Corporation (CHAIC) was set up in 1969. It is located in the city of Jingdezhen. As the development and production base of helicopter and minibus in China, CHAIC was the birth place of both the helicopters for China's lightest and most multiple utilization, and the first light-duty mini-bus in China. CHAIC is ranked as one of the ten strongest enterprises in Chinese automobile industry.
The mini-van and mini-buses produced by CHAIC become one of the best products and sell well not only throughout the country, but also export to the Middle East, Europe and Africa. At present, CHAIC has the capacity of producing 150,000 sets of minibus annually, in addition, CHAIC possesses the ability to produce large amounts of helicopters of various types.
CHAIC has performed its management through the scope of trans-regions and trans-industrial sectors. There are several subordinates attached to CHAIC, for instance, Changhe Jiujiang Company, He Fei-Changhe Automobile Limited Company, and Changhe Automobile Fittings Production Company. Occupying of 4.33 million square meters, and having staffs of over 10,000, CHAIC has total assets of approximately 4 billion yuan RMB. Since 1992, the economic index of each sector has increased to 40 per cent annually. CHAIC has established close associations and efficient cooperative relationships with manufacturers and enterprises of helicopter and automobile in the world, there is bright prospects for the development of CHAIC.
